We arrived and were lucky to find space at the bar. We ordered two very good Martinis, and the prices were quite reasonable! Good music, limited street parking, a pub for all kinds of people! Relaxed! Perfect for a good chat! The drinks were very good!

After working in another gay bar in this neighborhood for over two decades, returning to SRO was surreal in the best way — I recognized faces I hadn’t seen in years. That kind of continuity is rare. It tells you everything about the heart of this place: people come back, and they stay connected. If you’re looking for velvet ropes or curated aesthetics, this isn’t that bar. But if you want authenticity, comfort, laughter, and a place with a heartbeat — SRO is the kind of spot that becomes home without you even trying. Highly recommended, especially if you appreciate a bar with real soul.

Drinks were generous, but this place was loud and awkward. Not really a lounge.

Absolutely fantastic dive bar. The drinks are stiff and cheap, the bartenders are super cool and fun, and the vibe is almost always excellent! You will meet people of all different kinds here! Its the kind of place that you can become a regular at, and everyone is extremely welcoming and supportive. The atmosphere is something that you wont really find anywhere else in San Diego. Of course, because of this, the facilities and location are not the best. Parking is usually not a problem. If you like alternative lifestyles, this is the spot to be at.

Wished they had some themes nights...

Great lounge with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Drinks are well-made, and the staff is attentive without being intrusive. A comfortable spot to unwind and enjoy a good evening. Definitely worth a visit.

We stop by here whenever in town. Service is always great. Our bartender, Chris?, made great drinks, and cute too! The people that come here are nice. Unfortunately, there was a bad smell in the place this time. Maybe this will get fixed soon. We'll try back again
