Hyatt Place Topeka

Rats in discarded wooden box next to building, algae coated pool, abandoned car in parking lot. Bill had tripled charges, front desk refused to remove until manager arrived, this was at 830 AM on weekday. They managed to bring a $119 room charge to $313. Overcharge was acknowledged but refused to remove.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had in all my years of traveling. The room did not include a microwave, and the shower had extremely poor water pressure, making it difficult to use comfortably. There was also no desk or chair available for working or relaxing. Although the room included a couch, its placement behind a divider made it impossible to comfortably watch the television. Overall, the room was poorly designed and lacked the basic amenities and comfort I expect from a hotel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.

This has to be the WORST Hyatt i have ever been in. The whole room set up is off. The tv isnt even level. The bathroom sick and mirror are not in the bathroom itself. I ordered some beers and a pizza downstairs in the lobby. The pizza was completely roasted. The women behind the desk just gossip and seem to have a hard time serving you. I wasnt going to complain about the pizza being way over cooked, i just want my drinks after a long hot day working outside. This like i said, is by far the worst hyatt place i have ever been in.

This hotel was built to be nice, but they currently obviously have some maintance issues. There's a funky smell near the laundry. We had to switch rooms because of a smell, the bathroom door doesn't shut, things like that. Breakfast was fine. Room was clean. Beds were fine. Common areas needed cleaned.

My daughter’s team just stayed here and they had to leave after checking in because bed bugs were found in multiple rooms. I wouldn’t even give it one star if I didn’t have to for my review.

A new place for us. Very nice.

So this hotel says it was just refurbished but so many things were broken. The we had the air in the room set to 64 but it was still hot. The public restrooms were broken. The shower pressure was poor. The beds weren't too bad. Pool was out of service. Ice machines broken. But if you are driving across the country and need a cheap place to sleep, this place works.
