The Dupont Hotel

The Dupont Circle Hotel was wonderful and such a great place to stay. The location was absolutely perfect, making it easy to enjoy the area, walk around, and get to everything we wanted to do. It felt convenient, beautiful, and right in the middle of such a fun part of DC. The hotel itself was lovely, comfortable, and welcoming. Everything felt clean, stylish, and thoughtfully done, which made the stay feel easy and enjoyable. It was the perfect home base for a special trip. I would absolutely recommend The Dupont Circle Hotel to anyone staying in DC. The location, atmosphere, and overall experience made it a really great stay.

Update from a previous review: This is my third time staying at The Dupont Circle, and we got off to a pretty rocky start. However, the staff was determined not to let a few challenges prevent them from providing the stellar service that they are known for. Upon check-in, my wife and I were immediately assisted with our bags and escorted to the elevator. Our penthouse suite was absolutely splendid - it offered 180 degree views of D.C., comfortable seating on the balcony, and automatic blackout curtains. However, the accommodations weren't even the best part of the stay; the staff, including Thomas and Lamond at the front desk and Abby at the Pembroke, truly made our stay unforgettable. They were attentive, kind, accommodating, and responsive to every request. To attest to the degree that they went above and beyond: I mentioned off-handedly that we were attending a Formula 1 event during the course of the weekend, and they centered several experiences around that seemingly innocuous comment. The Pembroke created a crafted dessert (with the F1 logo on the plate) and there was even a model F1 car in our hotel room during an evening turndown service. I am absolutely floored at the care and consideration of the staff, and I am definitely converted into a loyal repeat customer. As I visit DC often for work and play, as do many of my colleagues, I will be recommending The Dupont Circle from this point forward. Great job, team!

We picked this hotel for a couple reasons: first and foremost it’s dog friendly. Secondly it’s in a perfect location literally on Dupont Circle which is in a walkable neighborhood, centrally located, what more can you ask for? The staff was friendly, checkin was quick and easy, the rooms clean. I loved the thoughtful touches like the little live succulent on the bathroom sink and the plush cozy bathrobes. The housekeeping was a bit… aggressive in her asking us when we were going to leave every time we popped out our door but I guess she really, really wanted to clean our room. I mean the rooms were really clean and that’s a flex. Good vibes, great location, dog friendly. I really want one of them bathrobes. No, seriously can you guys give me one?

Respect Staff, best accomodations for clients.

This pains me but the entire stay was AWFUL. We booked via Amex Platinum, called last week to confirm the benefits, then were told something totally different upon arrival. We tried communicating via their "text" portal,ZERO RESPONSES. I called atleast 5 times back to back, no answer. The room was "upgraded"and there were MULTIPLE issues with the water, amenities, ac. I'm so pissed for booking this room, as it is NOT 5 STAR, at all. The service made my stay the worst aspect with the ONLY positive bring Abby from The Pembroke Restaurant. We tried the Doyle bar, waited 15 minutes with NO service, and I can tell you we will NEVER Stay here again. Terrible, terrible service. The location is the only benefit, and I mean the ONLY benefit. Amex needs to drop this hotel from their brands because this is an absolute embarrassment Update: 5.24.2026 Thomas, thank you for responding. I actually have spoken with you twice during my stay. Timothy, the night manager, also spoke with be and offered ZERO effort to help my wife and I. I just left the hotel and watched a mother and daughter wait for valet, which never came out. So, the daughter went inside to get help. I do not know what is going on with TDC Hotel but this was a very frustrating stay. Not a single request was addressed except for accommodating an additional hour to check out. With the vast amount of options within 5 minutes of TDC Hotel, customer service can be the differentiator. This felt NOTHING like a 5-star experience, not even 3 or 4. Timothy was a complete joke and wasted my time. On top of that, we had a do not disturb light on but were woken up at 7am by MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF KNOCKING by your employee trying to give us Nespresso pods which we didn't even order. Truly frustrating experience from check-in and going forward.

Outstanding hotel with a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and modern style. The rooms were elegant, spacious, and beautifully maintained, and the staff provided exceptional service throughout the stay. The location in Dupont Circle is ideal, with easy access to restaurants, cafés, museums, and nightlife. The atmosphere felt sophisticated yet welcoming, making the entire experience relaxing and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Washington, DC!

This place just gets it right. The location is unbeatable — right on the circle, two minutes from the Metro, and surrounded by some of the best restaurants and bars in the city. But it’s not just about where it is. The rooms are genuinely beautiful, that mid-century vibe feels intentional rather than gimmicky, and the beds are ridiculously comfortable. Doyle Bar in the lobby is worth a visit on its own — great drinks, cozy atmosphere, and it draws enough locals that it doesn’t feel like a hotel bar. Staff were warm without being over the top. One of those stays where you actually look forward to coming back to the room at the end of the day.

Booked the Dupont Circle Hotel using points as Iprefer Titanium. Hotel is conveniently located and well managed. Front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Hotel smelled extremely pleasant upon entering and is very clean and well maintained. Has a nice gym at the basement level with a good supply of weights and cardio machines. Breakfast is free with Titanium status and was great. Especially the vegan sausage. Our Executive King room was very nice with views of neighboring stores and condominiums. Was a little upset that I didn't receive my double upgrade being that the hotel was fully booked as there were several events going on in the area. Nonetheless, I would definitely consider staying again based on cleanliness, location as well as the on-site restaurant and bar.

Lovely hotel in the heart of DuPont with friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially from the valet staff at the concierge desk today who opened my ride share door and directed me to the conference facilities with a smile.

I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was spacious and nice! The shower was also good, neither too much nor too little! There's a coffee machine in the room, and decaf (green) is available. The heating and air conditioning worked perfectly! There's a refrigerator, but the minibar is already full, so there was only room for about two bottles of water. The staff brings ice when refilling towels, so I think it's fine. The tap water is pretty drinkable. I used it when making coffee. The hotel has a bar (Doyle) and a restaurant (Pembroke) next door, and you can access them from inside the hotel. Pembroke seems to be a Michelin-starred restaurant, but I thought it was just average. As expected of a 5-star hotel, the clientele is good, it's not noisy, and it's comfortable and highly recommended!

I wanted to leave 5 stars, as I had enjoyed my stay booked with my credit card’s premier collection benefits, but I noticed an erroneous charge on my card this morning! If you book using your premier collection benefits, you get a breakfast credit for two people, however their system charged me for the full breakfast. While they were able to reverse the charge when I called this morning, it is pretty alarming and disappointing that this occurred. Also, even though my meal didn’t meet the full credit allotment, taxes and tips aren’t included as part of the credit so I’ll only get the meal charge reversed (not the full amount of the breakfast credit). I advise you to double check the charges on your credit card days after you check out. Shady.
