Thalassa Beach Resort

Thalassa Beach Resort & Spa is a fantastic place to stay in Chania. The whole resort is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and the staff are truly welcoming, they treat you more like family than guests, which makes all the difference. The food is excellent, especially breakfast, with a wide variety including Greek specialties besides continental. Smoked salmon, prosciutto and sparkling wine are also included in breakfast vast range. They also organise lovely daily events like cooking classes with the executive chef, who’s warm and engaging, such a memorable experience! Rooms are modern, comfortable, and well-kept. The spa is superb, there’s a small gym, and even free beach yoga once a week. Reception staff are always happy to help with taxis or tours (unfortunately cash only for these services). Relaxing by the pool bar in the evening is the perfect way to end the day. If you're visiting Crete, don’t hesitate, this resort offers everything you need for a wonderful seaside holiday. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast. Decent price for the night when we drive through town randomly and stopped when we say the lights. Very clean. Comfortable bed. The bathroom was beautiful. Helpful and attentive staff. Parking is dicey , but that’s Greece for you ! We were the youngest couple there (40yrs old), seems geared to older but it feels sorta posh.

This is our second time staying here as we had so many lovely memories from our first time. The hotel is in a great location. It is spotlessly clean in all areas and especially the rooms The staff are so welcoming and friendly The food is amazing especially breakfast. They provide so much variety and such high quality. They have a beach which is beautiful and well kept. There are lovely little gestures such as free wine and fruit on arrival. We were invited to a returners night where we had the opportunity to meet the lovely brother and sister owners of the hotel. It was such s fun time we were given gifts and certificates for returning and free wine and snacks. We had an amazing week and i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh and tasty options. The area was very quiet and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The view was stunning, especially from the rooms and pool areas. The swimming pools were clean and beautifully maintained. Overall, a great choice for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy beautiful surroundings.

We stayed at Thalassa Beach Resort with two other groups of friends and found the hotel superb from start to finish. The service was excellent throughout—friendly and professional from check-in to check-out. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the relaxing pool area and the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. The breakfast offered a great variety, though I was a little surprised to be charged for a freddo espresso—especially as I usually skip food in the mornings and just have coffee. After that, I found myself making a few espressos from the machines instead. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the beach, local amenities, and a good number of restaurants within walking distance. My only real criticism would be the disorganised parking situation out front. Cars were often parked haphazardly, with little consideration for others. It would be helpful if parking bays were marked to make better use of the space. That aside, everything else was excellent, and I would happily return.
