My husband and I came out for a business trip from kansas city and since not having the children with us (first time in a long time) I wanted to treat us with something different. After booking the room, I thought let's check the reviews. Immediately I regretted the reservation but since we were already on the way we ended up going anyways. The guy at the desk was super friendly and checked us in quickly, also answered every question I had. Walking into the room, I wanted to cry. We had the pool suite and everything about it exceeded my expectations. The room was super clean. Pool was nice and warm, mini bar was convenient. Everything was perfect for the relaxing kidless night that had been long overdue. Check out was also nice and smooth. Alicia was very nice and checked us out pretty quick. Talked for a little and had to mention how amazing our night was. So different than just a regular hotel we are used to as we travel a lot. Lesson learned to not always go by reviews. Sometimes you just need to go see for yourself. Ill be traveling to the area often and will definitely look forward to returning.
The room was absolutely amazing and my husband and I loved how its not set up like a typical hotel. The separate buildings for the different rooms adds a great aspect of privacy and makes it feel more like you're staying at your own little getaway. The staff was kind, helpful and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We were also upgraded to a larger hot tub room for our stay upon arrival which was much appreciated! We will definitely be staying here again!
I had higher expectations from this place considering the price of the room. From pictures online before booking, it looked bigger. Room wasn't as spacious as thought it would. My biggest thing was how outdated a lot of the things looked inside. A mini boom box was there which no one is going to use, a super small fridge, tv with no option to Bluetooth or cast and the shower head was really gross and grimey including entry doorway to stand up shower. Looked like a $10 Walmart showerhead with little to no water pressure. Super Mini bottles are provided for showering so definitely take your own stuff overnight. Glad I got the standard room as it would be an indicator of me going back and getting a pool included one which is neat $600. The cabinets were dusty, buttons to lights had a broken one and were in a really odd spot right where you sleep and lay your head at. Best part honestly was the front desk service she was super nice and the jacuzzi was ok. Bed sheets were decent and bed was comfortable but felt like I was sinking in some spots probably needing replacement soon too. By the time I had checked into it was late and no use of asking for change but hindsight wish I would've.
I was really excited to check this place out. I went with my sister for check-in so that she could get into the room and help for decorate it to celebrate for her birthday. It was a problem from the time that we got there till the time that we left which was an hour and a half, the service was pretty bad. It was a lady and a man behind the front desk who wouldn't give their names when asked at first they were trying to be accommodating but quickly got an attitude. We didn't ask for much. We just wanted to be put in a room that was safe. The first room that we were put into didn't have a latch. They acted as if they were surprised. Like oh wow, no latch and so then they said they'd move us to a different room. When we got into the second room it had a latch but the bottom lock wouldn't lock and they were like oh, oh no really it wouldn't lock what what's going on here? We're wondering the same thing you know is what we thought. Hell we were all trying to figure out what is going on here. Then took us to the 3rd room and the door doesn't unlock at all. We're supposed to have the key to get into the door and we're just standing outside in the child in the snow freezing. Waiting to get into the lodge for them to bring another key. Still not feeling quite comfortable at this point. We get into the room and see that there's no latch after having no latch on the first door which was our initial reason we didn't stay in the room. We were very confused why the third room was another room with no latch. They said that it's because the door was a updated lock but the nasty attitudes that were given the whole time just from us trying to be on and safe was ridiculous, we weren't even put in a room and it had been over an hour. Like will she be able to get an additional hour since her hour had been wasted being wasted? Just trying to get into her room but no it was just you're already getting a upgrade which was where because the room looks just like the room that was originally booked so was the upgrades given? It was only bad attitudes the whole time and then when my sister wanted to check out she asked for a check out receipt for proof that her deposit will be going back to her card. They said it was nothing that they could give her. It was nothing that they could do. Everything had to be done through email and they could not give their names. This was very upsetting. Very sad from my sister and she was just trying to have a good enjoyable night for her birthday. Not sure how anyone else experience will be but ours was bad we didn't stay and it won't be going back again. Not to mention the places, they're actually a little disgusting unless they were just only putting us in the disgusting rooms Out of three you think one would have been sufficient?
I booked the premium suite for my birthday and agreed to add the bday package, but upon arriving, it was never added. Upon entering the room, it was nice until I started to notice the dilapidation. The bed, at some point had a mirror attached to the top, but it was either broken or removed and looked shoddy. The faux fireplace was broken and did not emit heat, the room was drafty, and there was a nasty roach crawling across the floor with another one dead in the bathroom. At the price of this room, I was quite disappointed in the amenities and stay overall. I ended up leaving. When I called the front desk to let them know of my dissatisfaction, there was no "I'm sorry, how can we make this better for you." Instead, I got, ok, I will mark you as checked out! Wow! Just Wow!
