Istanbul Bear Week — это серия вечеринок для медведей с приглашенными диджеями, организованная Stay Club, гей-клубом в районе Бейоглу недалеко от Таксима, весной и осенью под названием Middle Eastern Bear Week. Это клубное мероприятие, а не Прайд. Губернатор Стамбула ежегодно запрещает марш Прайда с 2015 года, а полиция задерживает тех, кто пытается пройти. Гей-заведения работают в закрытых помещениях, но ведут себя сдержанно: не публикуют фотографии лиц и не отмечают места.
В одном из объявлений значились даты с 11 по 20 сентября 2026 года, но мы не смогли подтвердить их с клубом. Более ранний фестиваль для медведей, Istanbear, проходил в сентябре 2014 года. На момент нашей проверки даты на 2027 год объявлены не были.
