Die Istanbul Bear Week ist eine Reihe von Bärenpartys mit Gast-DJs, die vom Stay Club, einem schwulenfreundlichen Club in Beyoğlu in der Nähe von Taksim, im Frühling und Herbst unter dem Namen Middle Eastern Bear Week beworben werden. Es handelt sich um eine Clubveranstaltung, keine Pride. Der Gouverneur von Istanbul hat den Pride-Marsch seit 2015 jedes Jahr verboten und die Polizei nimmt Menschen fest, die versuchen zu marschieren. Schwule Indoor-Veranstaltungsorte bleiben geöffnet, halten sich aber zurück: keine Gesichter posten und keine Veranstaltungsorte taggen.
Eine Angabe nannte den 11. bis 20. September 2026, aber wir konnten dies nicht mit dem Club bestätigen. Ein früheres Bärenfestival, Istanbear, fand im September 2014 statt. Als wir nachsahen, waren noch keine Termine für 2027 bekannt gegeben worden.
