Monterey Peninsula Pride

Monterey Peninsula Pride is the region's signature LGBTQ+ celebration, organized by the volunteer-run nonprofit Monterey Peninsula Pride (founded 2017). Held each year in late June, the parade steps off around 11am down Alvarado Street in downtown Monterey and culminates in a festival at Custom House Plaza with community booths, live entertainment and dozens of local organizations. It is the best single starting point for LGBTQ+ visitors looking to connect with the Peninsula's community. Exact 2027 dates are confirmed closer to the event; check peninsulapride.org.
