纯浴 (Pure Bath)

Pure Bath (纯浴), formerly known as Tropical Rainforest (热带雨林), is the gay bathhouse most consistently named as currently operating in Chengdu by local Chinese-language community sources. It is a renovated, clean and well-heated men's sauna with a comparatively orderly atmosphere and a dress code stricter than the city's older, rougher bathhouses. Chengdu's bathhouse scene has thinned considerably since 2020, so opening hours and access can change without notice — check a current local listing before travelling. As everywhere in China, discretion is essential: do not photograph inside, avoid discussing the venue on monitored platforms such as WeChat, and be aware that although same-sex activity itself is not illegal, the legal and social climate for LGBTQ+ life in China remains restrictive.
