Kuli Alma is a bar and club on Mikveh Israel Street with a courtyard, rotating art on the walls and DJs most nights. It has been open since 2014. It's a mixed venue rather than a gay bar, but it's popular with the city's queer crowd, and local LGBTQ guides (the Carlton hotel's among them) list it as a community hangout. Drinks run cheaper than on Rothschild a few streets away. Go late in the week, and check its Instagram for the night's line-up.

They charge a ridiculous price of 62 NIS for a poor glass of Aperol Spritz filled with ice, but they can't even install a seat on the toilet in the bathroom. Simply disgusting.
