Myrtiotissa Beach

Myrtiotissa is the west-coast beach most associated with Corfu's LGBTQ+ visitors. Reached by a steep track between Pelekas and Vatos, roughly 13 km from Corfu Town, it is a narrow strip of golden sand backed by cliffs and olive slopes. The main beach is relaxed and clothing-optional, and the gay-frequented section lies a short walk further along, past the rocks. Gay travel guides have described it for years as the island's informal gathering point for gay visitors and nudists. This is a wild, undeveloped beach: expect little or no shade, no lifeguard and only a seasonal snack kiosk, so bring water and sun protection and time your visit for daylight hours. The setting is scenic and secluded rather than a party scene. Corfu has no dedicated gay bars or clubs, so the island's LGBTQ+ social life gravitates toward spots like this in summer.
