G-Bar

G-Bar is Salou's only genuinely gay bar, a small venue on Carrer de Brussel·les in the town's nightlife cluster, a short walk back from the seafront. It is linked to the French "G-Family" of gay bars and runs a compact programme of drag and DJ nights, typically opening at weekends during the season (roughly Friday to Sunday from around 9pm). The room is intimate and the crowd is a mix of local regulars and holidaymakers. Salou has never sustained a large gay scene, and a dedicated gay bar here has come and gone over the years under different names, so opening days can be irregular and it is worth confirming that it is trading before you visit. For a bigger night out, most visitors head to Sitges or Barcelona, both well under two hours away.
