Beer Baron Bar & Kitchen

The food at Beer Baron was excellent. Three of us had the steak, which was prepared perfectly, and the other person had the cajun mac and cheese, which was very tasty. Our server was very pleasant, helpful and attentive. We will go back if in the Santa Rosa area. Also, the beer selection was extensive.

This is neighborhood bar and restaurant. The meals my party had were all very good. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. Extensive whiskey selection.

I have been attending Thursday night Trivia off and on for a while now, and one thing our group noticed was how burnt out we were getting on the menu... we entertained eating elsewhere before trivia to break up the monotony... then a new General Manager came onboard and is shaking things up! Shane made it a point to walk around and introduce himself to folks. When he got to our table, we were pleasantly surprised by how personable he is, as well as how important bringing life back to the restaurant/menu is to him! Over the last months or so we have seen and TASTED the changes! We are just blown away and full of interest and hope! He listened to feedback, made minor tweaks, and just keeps delivering! What is new, so far: The roasted corn riblets with tomato and feta are, hands down, my favorite. They are perfectly seasoned, and the tomato and feta bring added freshness and balance to the natural sweetness of the corn. Onion rings are now beer battered!! They are still perfecting the timing on these, and the switch from panko to beer battered had been very delightful! Chicken and waffles appetizer! Hand battered chicken strips, and quartered waffle make it fun to share... or... fight over. They serve it with butter and REAL maple syrup! Mac and cheese "sticks" were cheesy and goey with just a whisper of heat to them (I am not a spicy person, and these were the perfect level of spicy). The seasoning is on point and addictive... Lastly, they updated the cauliflower bites to add some heat. This is another one they are working on the timing. The flavor brings the flavor and heat, it is finding the right cook time on the cauliflower to keep a little al dente to it. As someone who cannot handle the spicy, I can only tell you my friends order them over and over again! And he has so much more in the works! While the food is changing up, and is getting so much better... it is Shane's ability to hear what the community is craving and find ways to bring it to the table... with a genuine smile and so much pride and joy in what he is doing! I look forward to his new creations and the light and joy he is bringing to Beer Baron!

Came here with a group after a wedding on Saturday 6/27/26, around 11:30 PM. One of the bartenders was extremely rude, even flipping off one of my friends in our group. My friend had (politely) asked if they would consider staying open a bit later given the size of our group. I know it was a big ask, but a simple no would have sufficed. On top of all of that, the whiskey sour he made was terrible. There was very little alcohol and the balance was completely off. Avoid this place like the plague.

What a great bar to visit. Watched the Knicks win the NBA Finals here on 2026 and it was such a vibe
