LGBT Community Center

Resource Center Dallas is an absolutely vital organization for the LGBTQIA+ and HIV/AIDS communities in North Texas. They offer a compassionate, safe, and affirming environment with comprehensive services, from essential health and wellness programs to crucial community support and advocacy. A true beacon of hope and strength for thousands of people.

It’s been difficult to watch the resource center pull back from our community over the years especially in these unprecedented times. Unfortunately I think the final straw is this decision by resource center to remove their social programs. They have been replaced by a one size fits all approach driven by cost reduction. It is clear that the new program checks a box off on a list for some manager and that is its intended value. There seems little care and concern whatsoever for how or what the program will accomplish, let alone materially do to replace the social programs it replaced.

They got rid of the programs that I and many others attended. I don't know where I'm going to go now, but it's probably not going to be at RC anymore.

A non-profit for LGBTQ+ folks and minorities and they get rid of their social programs (FaCES) to go into one program. Those programs used to be a major part of the LBGTQ+ Dallas Fort-Worth area, and where integral to especially the transgender community. Their change has wiped out now one of the only inclusive spaces where folx where it was needed the most in these times. They say the change is meant to help with grant money, so its a purely financial motivated move. Firing members of our community only strengths the opinion that the Resource Center does not represent the LGBTQ+ community at all, but has gotten completely out of touch with what is needed. Future programming does not bode well when you can't listen to the community.

I used to love the Resource Center. They had programs that allowed me to be myself early on in my transition which helped me immensely. Now they appear to be focused more on putting money elsewhere. They fired all the coordinator who ran those programs after they had already cut budgets for those programs multiple times. The higher ups were unable to even get the names of the programs right. I am very sad to see in this terrible year of 2025 that they are stepping back when we need support most. Shameful.

Abruptly ended all programming for their support groups. They’ve abandoned those who needed them most.

Love new Inwood location. Nice modern building & lots of parking!. Atmosphere is relaxed and Staff as usual friendly and knowledgeable. Checking in & out was easy, service was prompt & a positive experience overall.

To put it bluntly, this place saved my life. If not for the behavioral health services I might not be here to write this review. Kudos to Scott for pairing me with Claire! I will always be grateful to the Resource Center for helping me to find ME.

The Resource Center is a shining example of how caring people can create resources needed most in their communities. It's been one of my greatest joys to witness the good that Cece Cox has brought forth with her leadership. The Resource Center has extraordinary cadre of volunteers. 💜

A Comunity for everyone. Absolutely everyone included, no matter what….UNLESS- unless you are white, between 36-49 years of age, than they got nothing for ya. Building looks pretty though

I would have to say it's a great place to get resources if you are on hard time's. Which is out of your hands on when it's going to happen. I will say the minute You get your head above water or start to make a little bit of income they longer want to help you and they don't realize that you could be facing eviction they refused to help you. Where is the sense of community these days
