Some visitors praise the venue as a vital organization offering a compassionate, safe, and affirming environment with comprehensive health and wellness programs, community support, and advocacy. However, many express deep disappointment and anger over the abrupt cutting of social programs and the firing of program coordinators, feeling this demonstrates a lack of support for queer and trans individuals and their need for safe social spaces.

EDIT: Now it seems the resource center is putting in fake positive reviews. Make of that what you will. They abruptly cut all social programs and fired the program coordinators. This place has shown no support queer (and especially trans) people and our needs for a safe social space. Bring back the FaCES programs.
Abruptly ended several programs and left many without jobs, have been coming to the resource center for almost a decade and am greatly disappointed with upper management.
The cutting of community specific programs was a direct slap in the face to every vulnerable person who called this place home. Especially at this point in time in our nation. It’s a cruel callous decision that shows us who the executives truly care about.
Great spot that fosters community engagement and activities!
The resource center health campus still provides some level of support to the community by way of more affordable health services. However it is unclear what the community center does, now that it has slashed and burned the social programs it had for the community. A re-org is one thing, a RIF with a fancy new program label is another. It's interesting that Resource Center felt the need to create positive publicity around the social program elimination, claiming "[We]’ve gotten nothing but positive response" and general corporate speak on how the new program will "Buzzword the Metric" TM. When it comes to companies, the more you have to say something unprompted, the less likely it is to be true. It is what it is, Resource Center, a social outreach center for the LGBTQ+ has removed it social programs, lied to and fired it's staff, and made vague first draft speech promises about an uncertain future that sounds more like an advertisement to its corporate sponsors than to the community it swears to serve.
