FRIGID Nightcap Presents: FUTURE TENSE

FRIGID Nightcap returns to Under St. Marks with FUTURE TENSE, a late-night variety show about the culture war over what comes next. Through comedy, drag, burlesque, theater, performance art, OpenStage, and original work from The Strange Girlzz, FUTURE TENSE rejects authoritarian nostalgia, billionaire futures, empire worship, capitalist doom loops, and the myth that history only moves in one direction.
This month’s lineup features Nicolas Lore’s Luxury Gay Space Communism, Ethereal Sacrilege’s Reasonable Reality (Nonsense), Annie Smokely’s E.atin’ B.ig T.ime, a new devised performance from The Strange Girlzz, and Nightcap OpenStage. Come for queer futurity, anti-capitalist chaos, strange art, basement glamour, and the kind of true variety show you can only find downtown.
