We stayed in 4 hotels during our first holiday to the Cape Town area. Derwent House was our favourite. Staff are fab, special mention to Luca and Tash for their hospitality. We much appreciated the special effort for our anniversary and a late check out was very helpful. We loved the quirky decor and art pieces from the owners extensive travels. Garden and pool are lovely. Location is superb, safe to walk around and minutes from good cafes, restaurants if you want to stay local. We hope to return!

Absolutely a lovely guesthouse not far from the city and Table Mountain. Excellent service, leaving nothing to be desired. Every evening there was a note on the bed with the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions for things to do, and some chocolate. On our last evening, a zebra was waiting for us. It was so cute! You could take it home for a few rand, and some of the proceeds went to the organization, which I think is fantastic. The service was impeccable, and the accommodations were very comfortable.

A super cool location with incredibly helpful staff, especially Luca and Tash, who were there for us with all our life and health-related questions. Easygoing, friendly, a 5-minute walk from the end of Kloof Street, ideal for Uber drivers.

Derwent House was one of the best decisions we made for our trip to Cape Town. The staff was extremely helpful and super nice. The room was amazing and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was awesome. I'm celiac and needed to be gluten free. They accommodated it without issue. I had the omelet and fruit. The location is great in a quiet neighborhood with many restaurants within walking distance.

It's really nice place to stay when you are in Cape Town

We’ve enjoyed our honeymoon at Derwent House very much. It was one of the best accommodations we had during our time in South Africa. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with our planning and reservations. And they asked with genuine interest how we were doing. The room was perfect; it had everything we needed. It was lovely to be able to relax in the lobby, which also offers coffee and tea facilities and a well-stocked fridge. Fresh, homemade cakes and soup were available every afternoon. Breakfast was delicious, with enough (healthy) options and tasty specialties. Unfortunately, it was winter, so we couldn't use the pool due to the weather. But when the weather gets better, towels are also provided by the guesthouse. Everything has been thought of. It was a pleasure to stay at your hotel!
