Meridian is Canberra's LGBTIQA+ and HIV community health organisation, called the AIDS Action Council of the ACT until 2020. It's based at Havelock House, 85 Northbourne Avenue in Turner, a short walk north of Civic. Its own site lists HIV support, sexual health testing, PrEP and PEP information, a needle and syringe program, sex-worker outreach, counselling through Meridian Wellbeing and LGBTIQA+ inclusion training. Call (02) 6257 2855 or check meridianact.org.au for opening times and testing sessions. For walk-in style STI testing, Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT is at 28 University Avenue in Civic.
