Lords Plaza Surat

Title: Confirmed Booking Not Honoured – Deposit Refund Issue I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Lords Plaza, Surat, particularly the way my confirmed booking was handled. I made the booking well in advance and paid a deposit of ₹4,000. I received a system-generated booking confirmation showing a rate of ₹4,725. However, when I contacted the hotel approximately a month before my arrival, I was informed that the hotel would not honour the confirmed rate and that I would have to pay ₹7,400 plus GST instead. I find this unacceptable. A confirmed booking should be honoured according to the agreed terms, rather than the customer being asked to pay a substantially higher rate later. I personally visited the hotel to request a refund of my deposit, only to be told that the refund required approval. The hotel was unwilling to honour the original booking, yet even returning my deposit became a process requiring further approval. This experience has raised serious concerns for me about the hotel’s booking reliability, transparency and customer service. Customers should be able to trust a written confirmation and have confidence that their advance payments are handled fairly. I hope the management takes this matter seriously, honours its commitments to customers and resolves the deposit refund issue promptly. Based on this experience, I would advise prospective guests to obtain clear written confirmation of all booking terms and refund arrangements before making any payment.
