Found this place on Reddit, and after seeing all the good reviews, I decided to try it out. The first time I went, the bar had closed early. I went back the next day, and they were open! I ended up liking the bar so much that I went back almost every day of my trip! Yuka and Azu were such a good vibe. All the staff were very friendly, and they tried their best to include me in conversations and gave me great recommendations. It's so cute how they have a little book of conversation starters for foreigners. I noticed it after being asked the same questions by multiple staff lol. They would ask me things like "what is your favourite Japanese food?" like Miss Girl :') I eat everything, idk. The customers are all so friendly too! The space is small, so it can get a little uncomfortable if it's busy. They don't charge an entrance fee, have free karaoke, and the drinks are reasonable. They take Cash, Paypay, and Tap ( I was able to use my Amex on Apple Pay). I just used a translation app to communicate with most of them, but honestly, I wish I had just studied harder when I was taking my Japanese class in uni. These girls are all so funny, and it was always such a good time. I'd definitely go back and highly recommend! Apparently, the building they're in is known for having a bunch of other LGBT+ bars/businesses. They also have a list of other lesbian bars you could visit as well. If you're looking for drink recommendations, I usually order the J&J - Jasmine Shochu with Jasmine Tea. Forest - Matcha liquor with... something else. Shochu with water - Honestly, this was just easy to drink, and it kept me hydrated, so the next day wouldn't be too difficult.

I went to this bar seeing all the recommendations from other tourists saying they were welcomed and able to communicate well even though they didn't talk japanese. I do speak a little japanese, and even though I was let in, the bartenders and customers completely ignored me even though I understood most of what they were saying. I thank that one kind and sweet girl who was next to me and the only one who made the effort to talk. Nice ambiance and drinks, though.

As a tourist, I cant speak Japanese at all. But the girls tried their best to talk to me and let me in. They were very welcoming and lovely. Although I left early that day, I will definitely go back next time!!

Two female bartenders couldn't speak English, but we had no problem communicating because we used Google Translate to talk smoothly. They gave me great recommendations and made a real effort to chat with a foreigner like me, which I really appreciated. One of the bartenders recommended her favorite bar for me to visit, and the next day I went. I wasn't disappointed at all. Thank you so much!

It was my first time at Karaoke L Bar, so I thought it might be awkward, but I had such a blast hanging out with people I met for the first time 🙂 I highly recommend L Bar if you come to Osaka!!

My wife and I had a great time even though we don’t speak Japanese. The karaoke was fun!

I had a very fun night! Even though I went alone, and speak almost no Japanese, the staff was very welcoming and attentive. Definitely recommend for queer women!

Even if you go alone for the first time, you'll be greeted with a bright and cheerful voice. It's perfectly fine to go alone! 👍 It's a warm and considerate shop.
