Yuntaku (ゆんたく) is a small gay bar on the fourth floor of a leisure building on Nakadori in Doyama-cho, the heart of Osaka's gay bar district in Kita Ward. Like most Doyama bars, it is a counter bar run by a master. Listings describe a bear and muscle-type crowd with karaoke and snacks, and it is men only. Staff speak some English, which makes it easier for visitors than many bars in the area. Expect a cover or table charge, which is standard in Japan. Reviews are very strong (4.9 from 34). It is a good first stop before trying other bars in the same building.

This place is a scam; they don't list the karaoke charges on the menu at all. It could be a great night with decent booze and a nice vibe. Until they told me the karaoke charges were 100 yen per song, which is NOT on the menu for sure! And the staff also DIDN'T mentioned it when I sang karaoke. I ended up having to pay 900 yen for it. I would never sing here if I knew. Just realized another comment here said it's free to sing karaoke, funny. What a shame

Visited on a Saturday night a few months ago while staying in Osaka and had such a great time at this bar. It felt very local most of the patrons were Japanese, which made the experience even better. We got to chat and sing karaoke . The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A must-visit when you're in Osaka
