Mitini Nepal

Mitini Nepal is a Kathmandu-based NGO working for lesbian, bisexual and transgender women, a group that Nepal's mostly male-led queer movement long left out. Founded in 2005, it runs peer-support groups, mental-health and crisis help, legal-rights advocacy and awareness campaigns, and it has campaigned on marriage equality and on family violence against LBT women. It is an office in Baluwatar, not a social venue. Queer women travellers who want to connect with the local community should contact the organisation in advance through its official channels rather than turning up unannounced.
