The Royal Snail Hotel

The hotel is stylish, quiet, and well-located. The service was generally good. We had a suite right by the pool with our two children. Unfortunately, the rooms weren't clean; after we asked, they were cleaned again, but still not properly. The breakfast for €20 is too meager by European standards and therefore overpriced. Therefore, only three stars overall.

Always a pleasure...

We recently stayed at this hotel. The staff was friendly and the food was really good. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the poor hygiene. The hotel room was very dirty upon arrival. There were also crumbs in the hallway for two days, and there was a vacuum cleaner standing there that was apparently not being used. We reported this to the reception and showed them photos. Additionally, we had reserved an hour of wellness. However, upon arrival, it turned out that everything still needed to be started up. The sauna doors were very dirty, the shower was not clean, and the jacuzzi was full of filth. We filmed this. Eventually, we drained the jacuzzi and cleaned it ourselves, but after that, there was no time left to refill and use it. We reported all complaints immediately to the reception. We were told that they would contact the owner. However, upon checking out, the man at the reception indicated that he had not had time for that. We got the feeling that our complaints were not being taken seriously and were more or less given the runaround. That is a real shame, because the hotel certainly has potential and the staff is friendly. However, the cleanliness and the handling of complaints leave much to be desired. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Aggressive staff and bad rooms with mold. Never again!

I was very pleasantly surprised by my first visit (and night) at the Royal Snail Hotel in Namur! I booked a single room for Sunday night/Monday morning at the last minute, just an hour before my arrival, and I was accompanied by my small dog. I received an extremely warm welcome from the gentleman at reception (who was also managing the bar as the restaurant was closed). My room was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean! The bar opens onto a very intimate terrace at the back, allowing you to imagine yourself in an exotic country. The terrace also features a small swimming pool (a rare find, especially in the center of Namur!). I was able to relax with a cocktail at a very reasonable price. I will definitely return to this boutique hotel with its thoughtful design. Thank you for your hospitality and for this wonderful discovery.

A second experience just as perfect as the first. Free parking in front of the hotel, a very warm welcome, a lovely spa, a delicious dinner with impeccable service 👌

A huge disappointment. We chose this hotel with a spa and restaurant for our anniversary with my sweetheart. Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite of what we expected. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff clearly lacked professionalism and customer service. Several requests made during the booking process were simply ignored, even though we had spent an hour on the phone with reception to arrange everything. We had requested a bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival, and we were shocked to find it wasn't there. My sweetheart was therefore forced to go back down to reception to request a service that had already been paid for in advance. Absolutely unacceptable for an establishment that claims to be upscale. The room was also disappointing: dark with an entirely black and rather unwelcoming decor, a broken faucet in the bathroom, and a ridiculously small sink. Furthermore, the cleanliness of our terrace left much to be desired (cigarette butts everywhere)!!! The disappointment continued all the way to the restaurant, where we asked the waiter for a wine pairing with the four-course menu. In the end, only two glasses were served out of four? Something's clearly wrong… What shocked us most wasn't the presence of minor errors… but the accumulation of shortcomings and the complete lack of attention to detail. At no point did we feel like we were being treated as valued customers whose satisfaction truly mattered. We would not recommend this establishment to anyone; we are extremely disappointed, even saddened that our anniversary weekend had to unfold this way.

A good base for exploring Namur! However, with breakfast included, it's quite expensive! Particularly annoying: Prices confirmed in writing at the time of booking are not honored, with the curt explanation of a price increase that has since taken place (+35% in 6 weeks) (parking fees, breakfast, etc.) – a shame; this dampens the enjoyment of our short break…

The menu was delicious and what can I say about the service! Special mention for Julien, who was lovely throughout.

We opted for the tasting menu and it was indeed a real discovery! Delicious, incredibly refined, and the setting is magnificent. The service was impeccable (thank you, Julien).
