The Hôtel Carlton is a large upscale hotel at 3 Rue Pierre Mauroy in central Lille, beside the Opéra and a couple of minutes from the Grand Place. It is a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay hotel. The location is the main argument: Vieux-Lille's restaurants and the city's small cluster of gay bars are walkable, and Lille Flandres and Lille Europe stations are about ten minutes on foot. Expect classic-style rooms and prices at the higher end for Lille.
