Magdalena is a restaurant at the start of Alt-Stralau, the quiet peninsula between the Spree and the Rummelsburger See in Friedrichshain. It is a mainstream, gay-friendly restaurant, not a gay venue. Reviewers mention attentive service, a good selection of beers and homemade ice cream. Stralau is mainly residential, with a waterside path and the old village church, so it suits a relaxed meal after a walk rather than a night out. Ostkreuz S-Bahn station is about ten minutes on foot. Friedrichshain's bars and clubs, including the queer parties at venues around Warschauer Straße, are a short ride away. Check opening hours before going.

It's sadly been gone for a long time now; it's called Osthafen now. It was an absolutely beautiful club, but everything's different now. I miss it, but you can't do anything about the system; it's all about money.

A typical commercial club made without love. No drinkable tap water, no deco, barmens tried to cheat with pfand, even to use the toilet has to be to paid. Really bad experience, loss of time. Do NOT recommend to people who wants to get to know the techno life of Berlin.
