Deck 5 is a small gay cruise bar on Mathiasstraße in Cologne's Altstadt-Süd, aimed at men into leather and fetish gear. The front is a plain bar; the back has a darkroom. The regulars skew older, mostly men in their 40s and 50s, and drinks are inexpensive by city-centre standards. It's listed as open nightly from 20:00 until 05:00, so it mostly fills up after the other bars close. Dress code isn't strictly enforced on ordinary nights, but leather or rubber fits in best. Usual darkroom etiquette applies: no means no, and keep your phone in your pocket.

It was Carnival time. A great bar with very nice service. Very friendly. It was Sunday night into Monday morning. There were some great men there. I also met a great man, Markus from Nuremberg. He was tall, wore gold-rimmed glasses, and had long hair tied back. He was wearing blue work trousers but was shirtless. He had a hairy chest. It would be great if someone knew him and could tell him I'm looking for him. Please help me find him.
