AIDS-Hilfe Hamburg e.V. is the city's long-established HIV organisation, based on Lange Reihe in St. Georg, the street at the centre of Hamburg's gay district. It offers confidential counselling, prevention work and support for people living with HIV, including peer groups. It works with Hein & Fiete, the nearby checkpoint for gay and bisexual men, which handles much of the quick-testing.
Opening and counselling hours vary, so check aidshilfe-hamburg.de before visiting. Lange Reihe's gay bars and cafés are on the same street.

Pola practically forced me to go to iFi. I think she repeated that phrase 30 times during the phone call! It was incredibly annoying and pushy, as if she were after a commission. Her explanations were also often incorrect, which is a shame! Hein & Fiete is much better in this regard.
