Drei Glöcklein ('Three Bells') is a traditional gay pub on Hans-Sachs-Straße in the Glockenbachviertel, Munich's main gay neighbourhood. By its own account it has been open since the mid-1990s. It's a small, unpretentious pub with an older, mostly local male crowd, and people come to talk rather than dance. The old listing mentions food, but don't count on a full kitchen. It opens daily from 3pm until 1am, which makes it a good early stop. Several other gay bars and cafés are within a few hundred metres, around Hans-Sachs-Straße and Müllerstraße.

A very nice little pub right across from my apartment. Relaxed and full of friendly people. Far removed from the usual airs and kisses. Very rare in Munich. Definitely recommended for an authentic experience of honest, honest hospitality.
