Queer Montenegro

Queer Montenegro is an LGBTIQ rights NGO founded in Podgorica in 2012. It organises Montenegro Pride, held in the capital every autumn since 20 October 2013: the 13th march was on 4 October 2025, and the 14th, in early October 2026, walked from the Government building to Argentina Square under the slogan "Živjećemo, života radi". It also co-runs the LGBTIQ+ Drop-in Centre with Juventas. Current campaigns push for a legal gender recognition law; trans people in Montenegro still have to undergo sterilisation to change their documents.
