Bud Gett Hostels is a budget hostel on Gedempte Zuiderdiep in the centre of Groningen. It is a mainstream hostel, gay-friendly in the ordinary sense, mostly used by students, backpackers and weekend visitors. Expect basic dorms and simple private rooms rather than hotel service. Groningen's compact centre is walkable, and the Grote Markt, the Peperstraat bar street and the city's LGBTQ+ bars are all a few minutes away. Apart hotel close to the center of the beautiful inner city of Groningen. Room not too big, but good beds. Shower/toilet area is very small. Nice entrance/restaurant. Breakfast is okay.

Unfortunately, our room was very dirty. The floor hadn't been vacuumed or swept at all. There was candy, hair, an old towel, and dust on the floor. The bathroom smelled of urine. On the plus side, the location is very central. Everything is within walking distance. The staff is very courteous and friendly.
