El Cangrejo Eixample is a gay bar and club on Carrer de Villarroel, in the Gaixample area where most of Barcelona's gay nightlife sits. It carries the El Cangrejo name, best known from the long-running Raval club, and plays to the same formula: Spanish pop, Latin dance hits and singalong classics rather than techno.
It is a late-night venue; expect it to fill after midnight, particularly at weekends. Opening nights and hours are not listed here, so check the programme before heading over.

I used to like it more. The last few times I've been there were a lot of older people and hen parties... Being a gay bar, I think they should be more selective about who gets in... It used to be one of my favorite places in Barcelona.
