MAD Bar is a gay bar on Carrer de la Mare de Déu, the narrow port-side street in Sa Penya that most of Ibiza Town's gay bars share. The terrace is the point. You drink a mojito outside while club promoters and dancers parade past on their way to the night's parties. The listed hours are 22:00 to 04:00 every day, but like most of the street it runs mainly in the summer season, roughly May to October. Off-season it may be shut. Peak hours are midnight to 2am, before people move on to the clubs.

Super-friendly owners... a relaxed atmosphere, and the price/performance ratio is right. On our second visit, we were immediately greeted warmly, which hopefully wasn't just due to our previous purchase. We'll be back.

Jorge, the guy who served us and delighted us all evening. I'd give it 6 stars for the strawberry mojito, the location, and JORGE. Definitely a must-try. I'll definitely be back.
