關於此活動
KharkivPride is the Pride of a front-line city. Kharkiv is about 30 km from the Russian border and comes under regular missile and drone attack. The first KharkivPride took place in 2019. Since the full-scale invasion it has kept going, in shapes set by wartime law and security. In 2025 it used a car convoy, the AutoPride, instead of a street march, and there was a scuffle in the city centre that year.
In 2026 the programme ran from September 5 to 12. The first weekend was a charity and education PrideFest, with a fundraiser for Ukraine's armed forces. On September 12 came the first march on foot since 2022. According to the Kyiv Post it was closed to the public. About 200 people registered in advance and passed security checks, among them serving soldiers and veterans. They walked roughly 500 metres underground, between the Derzhprom and Universytet metro stations, then protested outside the regional administration building. The demands were recognition of same-sex partnerships, hate-crime laws, and withdrawal of the draft Civil Code.
This is not an event to turn up to unannounced. Participation depends on pre-registration, and exact locations are shared only with registered people. Air-raid alerts can change plans at short notice. Follow KharkivPride's own channels, and check your government's travel advice for Kharkiv before you think about going.
The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked. The event has been held in September in recent years.
