Be Jardín Escondido by Coppola

My wife and I had a wonderful couple of nights at Jardín Escondido and would thoroughly recommend it. With only a very small handful of rooms, it really felt like home, with beautiful communal areas, a stunning courtyard and rooms bursting with character. We stayed in the Francis suite (as a fan of the Godfather this was really special!) and it was one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve stayed in. You really felt like you were at the home of a close friend. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable and it was furnished beautifully. Whilst the bathroom may not be the most modern, that was part of the charm and made you feel that you truly were a guest rather than just a transient visitor at a generic, faceless hotel. The courtyard garden was great and nicely spot to relax with a book and negroni. The staff were incredible. All really friendly, took the time to get to know you and offered up fantastic recommendations. As with everything here, they really made you feel special and were all so passionate about the property, the city and their country. We would absolutely stay again!

After a 4 year absence, it was lovely to once again stay at Jardin Escondido. We love this quirky little hotel, it's the ultimate hideaway in Palermo, a great location for boutiques, restaurants and nightlife. The rooms are comfy cozy (and a touch shabby chic), our mattress and bedding was the most comfortable you can imagine, we slept very well. Weather permitting, breakfast in the garden is lovely, if not there are communal tables in the lounge. Decor is subdued and homely, it may sound cliche but with only a handful of bedrooms, it really does feel like you're staying at a good friend's home. The 3 gentlemen who alternate working at the 24 hour desk/concierge are all extremely friendly, professional and eager to assist you, the kitchen and maid staff are warm and welcoming. Not for those who want a shiny modern international hotel or people watching in a trendy lobby bar - but ideal for those seeking lowkey peace, comfort and a perfect location.

Some friends made a reservation and asked me to find out if the hotel offers airport transfers and to book them for them. I tried calling for two days, but no one answered. I went to the hotel to see what was going on and find out what they'd missed. A man at the door greeted me with a very unfriendly attitude, and even though I explained that they weren't answering the phone, he rudely told me there were other ways to contact them. When I asked him why he was treating me like that, he said that if I didn't like it, that was my problem. I really don't understand what's wrong with him; that's no way to treat anyone, especially someone who works in customer service.

My wife and I took a short break and had a wonderful time. It was ideal for a peaceful getaway, away from the noise and hustle and bustle of traditional hotels. A special mention goes to Ignacio, who ensured our stay was perfect, paying attention to every detail. The breakfast was excellent as well.

All the charm of a boutique hotel and the elegance of an intimate retreat in the heart of the city. It doesn't raise the slightest suspicion from the outside... The comfort and service contained within this lovely space

A special light to experience an intimate, serene, high-quality, and peaceful moment; the light is green from so many plants, managed in a family atmosphere. It is indeed Francis Coppola's house in Buenos Aires with his books and belongings. Don't look for a hotel or a restaurant; it's a different experience.

Be Jardin Escondido is such a great escape in the heart of Palermo! Very easy to walk to local restaurants and shops in a safe neighborhood. The room was quite spacious, and the location is quiet. Breakfast was also delicious with a nice variety of fresh items. The staff was very friendly and super helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area. First class experience, would highly recommend!
