Hotel Almasur Punta Arenas

We stayed here for 4 nights and this is not a 4-star hotel. The rooms are very basic, with old and used furniture, as well as very outdated bathroom. I.e. the toilet broke in the first evening we got there and were asked to change rooms. Also the facility is not fully equiped for people with low or no mobility: the elevator broke and it took 2 days to be fixed, making the access in/out of the room difficult, access to the breakfast tables is via stairs and at least we were not told of another option on how to avoid the stairs. Staff gives the impression to be nice, although forcingly. I think that the only geniunly nice person with a true smile was the guy who was opening the door when you came in / out of the hotel. Upon arrival, we wanted to pay by credit card so we can avoid the fee. We tried a couple of times and the payment did not go through their payment terminal, so we were forced to use debit card and were charged some extra 50 USD. I want to point this out because my credit card worked perfectly fine for many other payments during the rest of the trip, even right after trying at the hotel. So strangely enough, their terminal was the only one that would not process the payment... Overall, I would look for other options in the same money.

The room has outdated furniture and overall feeling. The bathroom was very small . Reception staff was terrible they made a real bad first impression and then continued building on it . Location is not terrible but still not really o good area.!

Excellent value for money. The rooms were spotless and spacious. Carlos's service was outstanding; he answered all our questions and recommended lots of places to visit!

Within walking distance to all of the sites in Punta Arenas and best of all the price was amazing for the service and room. For an additional cost you can get breakfast buffet during your stay.

Well located, very friendly staff. It's our first time staying here and I highly recommend it 👌 It's close to shops... in fact, everything is nearby.

I went with my family for a weekend and the facilities are truly fantastic. The heating works perfectly and the staff is incredibly helpful, especially Mr. Carlos, who was very kind and assisted us with restaurant recommendations and arranged transportation to the airport at 1:15 AM. I highly recommend this place; it has a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

I loved it, it was fantastic!! The staff was very friendly, the room very comfortable, everything was beautiful, and the breakfast was 1000/10. EXCELLENT LOCATION

I had a reservation for one night at the Almasur Classic Hotel. Upon arriving at reception, I was told I should go to the Almasur Express reception. After explaining to the receptionist that my reservation was for the Classic Hotel, she called her colleague at the other reception desk and directed me back to the Classic Hotel reception. There, I was told there must have been a computer problem and my reservation was at the Express. However, I was told there were still rooms available at the Classic Hotel and to return at 3:00 PM to check in. When I returned in the afternoon, the same receptionist gave me my room key. To my surprise, when I got to the room, I saw it was in the Express Hotel wing (it's separated by a door that clearly indicates this). I went back to the Classic Hotel reception to complain and was told again that my reservation was at the Express. I asked to speak to the manager. After waiting about five minutes, I was told the manager was in a meeting and it would take a little longer to see me. Out of exhaustion, I decided to keep the express room and told the staff that I would like the manager to call me when my room became available. I also explained that my complaint stemmed from the fact that the young woman who assisted me upon arrival and again at 3 pm initially told me there would be availability in the classic room, but at check-in, she didn't even mention that the room she was giving me was in the express. This, in my opinion, is extremely disrespectful, as if it can be done... I would also like to mention that the manager never contacted me. Therefore, I consider the customer service to be terrible. However, the staff were always cordial. Finally, I contacted the website where I made the reservation. They confirmed that my reservation was indeed for the classic room and have already compensated me accordingly. Regarding the hotel itself, it's more of a standard 3-star European hotel, well-located, with well-maintained facilities and a good breakfast. If you want to check in early, they charge you half of a night's price.

Good location, attentive service and clean

I traveled for work and it was an excellent place to rest, with a very good breakfast and close to everything.
