It's a gay-friendly mainstream hotel, not a gay venue, despite earlier listings. Reviews average 3.6 and are mixed, so check recent comments. It makes sense if you're driving and want a cheaper bed than downtown Montreal. Expect simple rooms and free parking. Downtown Montreal and the Gay Village on Sainte-Catherine Street East are roughly 20-30 minutes away by car. By public transport, it's a bus to the Orange line metro in Laval, which adds time.

A man tried to get into my room; luckily the lock was on. He was persistent! I immediately asked to see the video recording, and it had already been cut off within minutes, so he was an accomplice! A mattress spring was sticking out where you get into the bed. The electric lock on my doors keeps locking and unlocking. Nothing was stolen, but it's still worrying. Do not bring valuables or children.

The hotel staff was friendly the two women who worked at the front desk where helpful. In regards to the other reviews we did not experience any late night disturbances. For the price the hotel is worth it- great location for concerts at Place Bell. 3/5 stars because we couldn’t put toilet paper in the toilet.
