I don’t write public reviews often and I want to be very very clear - the staff was wonderful and none of my issues with our stay were their fault at all. They were lovely and kind - but their hands were tied. We were on the 5th floor. Adorable room, small but very clean with a fireplace and all of the normal amenities. And the hotel was quiet and quaint. Here is my warning for other guests. The thermostat will not go below 72. Ever. For any reason. And the A/C struggled so much that wasn’t able to get to 72 during the day. It was never below 75 and it was usually 76. We were on the top floor, and I’m assuming that is why our room did not go below 76 except between the hours of 5am and 9am. I appreciate the attempt at energy saving, I really do. I just run hot normally and I’m menopausal so this was terrible for me.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was right in the middle of everything this neighborhood has to offer! Sam was so amazing and helpful. I appreciate the hospitality from every staff member!

My wife and I spent a night at Morrison House and we were disappointed with our room. It was tiny! And, the rug was wet from what I thought was condensation. The bathroom was tiny and, although very clean, the room was in desperate need of a renovation. There are nicer hotels and choices where we will stay in the future.

Stayed here over 20 years ago. Back in the day it was a romantic upscale place. This go round, cheap and unimpressed. Towels had holes and were frayed. Shampoo dispenser did not dispense. Mold in shower times. The bar they advertise on website is not open on Monday's, we had preplanned meeting a friend their and had to pivot. Front desk person was very nice and apologetic. Gave us money off but we'd have been happier with an upscale time which was what we were expecting based on price. I realize these are first world complaints... Still.

For quick night away this hotel checked all the boxes. Close to great restaurants, all within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was an event on site but it didn’t impact our stay in fact it added energy to the evening. The Study Bar was a great place to end the evening with craft made cocktails.

The location from the Marriott app is incorrect. Checked in about 6:30pm. Was told breakfast was included in my stay. Asked for points instead and was told the don’t do that, has to be breakfast. Asked if breakfast would be ready at 5am when I have to leave for the airport. Nope. Was told the hotel bar was open until 10. Go to the bar At 8:45, it’s open, step outside to make a call, return at 9 and the bar is closed up. So, they charge a destination fee that I can’t use for anything, force a breakfast they don’t make available, and close amenities prior to the listed times. What am I paying for again? Should have just stayed at the Westin down the road.

My in laws loved staying here. We chose it because of the location to old town, but my in laws raved about all the amenities. They loved the bar and live music.

Stayed one night here after a conference nearby. It was the perfect choice. Quaint, quiet, and the staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. My room was on the top floor, very clean, could open the window and enjoy breeze. And very walkable to the area. I absolutely enjoyed it, and every staff member I encountered made the hotel even more enjoyable. Will be back!

I had an excellent experience at The Morrison, thanks to Monique at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making both new and returning guests feel welcome. When I discovered that three of my employees’ reservations had been unexpectedly canceled during a busy corporate travel week, Monique immediately took action—rebooking one room and even helping me secure accommodations at a nearby hotel when The Morrison was fully booked. She handled everything seamlessly while assisting other guests and managing calls, truly going above and beyond. As a Human Resources Manager, I recognize exceptional service, and because of Monique, we will absolutely continue booking The Morrison for our corporate lodging needs.

Not exactly the easiest place to find late at night or to check in after 9pm. However, after lugging all 5 of our bags up the stairs to the entrance, it was 5-star service from there.
