The Garage Brewery

The Garage Brewery is a mainstream microbrewery taproom in Chesapeake's Greenbrier area, on Eden Way North near Greenbrier Mall. It is gay-friendly, not a gay bar. It pours a rotating list of house-brewed drafts, and food comes from visiting food trucks instead of a kitchen. There is an outdoor patio and a mezzanine that can be booked for private groups. Chesapeake has no gay bar of its own, and the brewery has hosted LGBTQ+ events, including Pride-season drag and a queer book club. It has also been a stop on regional Pride brew tours. Check its social channels for the current calendar. For a dedicated gay bar you will need to head to Norfolk.
