Such a beautiful space, really great service, delicious food. I love the no-tipping model (and paying service staff a livable wage)!

City Grit is an asset to Columbia. The food is phenomenal, and our server Kelso was fantastic. I took off one star just because we asked for one of our appetizers to be boxed up and they forgot to give it to us with our other leftovers, and that was super disappointing because the squid ink raddiatore was SO delicious. I loved the mocktail menu, and even though the restaurant is not large, we felt like we had a lot of privacy. Kelso was so helpful with their recommendations, you can tell they have a lot of experience. The chocolate peanut butter cremeaux was the perfect light dessert to end a heavy meal. The grits were the best I’ve ever had, by a long shot! The flavors and textures of all dishes were perfect. I didn’t think you could get food like this in Columbia, and I’m glad I was wrong!we can’t wait to go back.

I went there for the first time this weekend. The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The entertainment was fantastic. The building itself is super cool. The atmosphere was both relaxed and sophisticated without being pretentious. It was really fun going there. I will definitely be back again.

City Grit is a wonderful establishment, and everyone should check it out. The atmosphere is great, the service and staff are outstanding, and the vibe is always on point!

I’ve been a patron of City Grit on several occasions. I love the food, the environment and the care they give to all they do. Such a fantastic gem in town.
