Sabal Palm House Bed and Breakfast

What an amazing place! Had no idea what I was walking into. The little details around this place are what takes your breath away. The location is excellent… I was able to walk to the golf course for morning practice. The innkeeper Jack and his staff were beyond wonderful. I booked a one night stay, wound up staying another. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at Sabal Palm House was a beautiful twist of fate, and it turned out to be the highlight of our quick trip to the West Palm Beach area. This Bed & Breakfast is a true gem with immense character—an island of good taste, art, and fascinating stories. Every detail is curated to perfection, from the beautiful art pieces dressing the house to the soothing French music playing in the background, creating an incredibly relaxing and upscale atmosphere. The personalized service was flawless, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. If you appreciate historic charm, boutique hospitality, and a soulful lodging experience, this is the place to be. We cannot wait to return!

I just spent the night here for work in the area. We are from out of town, so we were just trying to find a spot to lay our head. We hit the jackpot. This spot is an oasis. Comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in in my life in the Salvador Dali room.

Received this 3night 4 day trip as a gift from our kids. What a beautiful gem. The grounds were so beautiful you felt like you were in a botanical garden. The room we were in was clean and beautiful like old time movie. The stay included amazing breakfasts different everyday. Coffee was always available with fresh cookies baked at 3 everyday. The host could not have more accommodating.. Can’t wait to come back.

My best friend and I spent the weekend in the Renoir suite and it was incredible. Absolutely the relaxing vibes we were looking for. I’ll forever be dreaming about sitting in that gorgeous courtyard. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

This is my fifth stay at this hotel, and although I often browse other accommodation options in a similar price range, this place invariably comes out on top. The main asset of Sabal its unique atmosphere and ambiance. The building, interiors, and decor have been preserved in their original, antique style. It is very quiet and safe at night, with no neighboring hotels or bars to cause disturbance; in the morning, one can hear the birds singing. The rooms are spacious, the air conditioning runs quietly, and the air is fresh—devoid of any artificial scents or perfumes. The beds and bedding are comfortable. I greatly value the tranquility here, the warm welcome, and the ease of communication with the owner. The guest rooms are located upstairs, while downstairs features a large, antique-style lounge and a dining room for breakfasts—a perfect spot to meet other guests and interesting people. I particularly enjoy the morning coffee, which is already waiting in the coffee machine when I wake up; espresso is also available. Cold beverages are available in the refrigerator. Throughout the day, fresh fruit and warm cookies appear on the buffet table. The beach is just a 15-minute walk away; beach furniture can be rented there as a complete set, and there is also a restaurant and bar on-site. A shop, a bank, and a post office are located very close I happily spend my vacation time here every year and highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates peace and a friendly, home-like atmosphere.

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at this Bed & Breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to dining and driving to the beach . The best part of the experience was meeting and chatting with other guests at breakfast. Melinda and Sammy offered friendly and great service making sure our needs were always met. We stayed in the carriage house. We had a few minor issues that after speaking to Jack we were assured they would be taken care of. He was understanding of our concerns and was very accommodating. We look forward to our return next winter.

We began staying at Sabal Palm 8-10 years ago under the former owners once or twice a winter until we rented a condo in the area 2022-2025. This was our first time back since before covid and under new ownership of the past 3-4 years. The staff made best effort and that was appreciated. Many rely on reviews for planning and decision making. Despite the positive reviews that the inn still receives, our observation and experience indicates a significant decline in the physical property bordering on neglect. It appears that little has been done to maintain the building inside and out and now becoming evident after a few years. Classic old properties like this require continuous ongoing maintenance. It hasn’t occurred.
