The short version: Milwaukee has no gay bathhouse, and its best-known cruising ground, Juneau Park, is now a matter of history. Today people meet on the apps and in the Walker's Point bars.
No bathhouse since 2016
Midtowne Spa on South Water Street, the city's last gay bathhouse, closed in 2016, and nothing has replaced it. The nearest bathhouses are in Chicago, about 90 minutes away by car or on Amtrak's Hiawatha. Listings that still show a Milwaukee bathhouse are out of date.
Juneau Park: history, not a current scene
Juneau Park on the lakefront bluff downtown has a long, documented gay history. The Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project traces men meeting there to the 1940s, and the park was policed for decades, up to Milwaukee County Sheriff stings in 1996. The first PrideFest was held there in 1988. We found no reporting of cruising there after 2017. Public sex is illegal in Wisconsin, the parks close at night and they are patrolled. We don't publish directions or times for public spaces.

The bars
Harbor Room at 117 E Greenfield Ave is the Levi and leather bar, and the most traditional place in town to meet men. Kruz on East National Avenue is a men's bar for regulars. Both are bars, with no backroom. The rest of the Walker's Point bars, from LaCage NiteClub to POP, are a short walk away.
Apps and safety
Grindr and Sniffies carry most of the traffic. Meet new contacts in a public place first, tell a friend where you're going, and use a rideshare. The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center and Vivent Health Milwaukee (free HIV testing and PrEP) are the local resources.
Events
Wisconsin Leather Pride Weekend takes place in Milwaukee in mid-November (13 to 15 November 2026). Harbor Room is the base for leather nights during the year.
