The Westin Sacramento Hotel & Marina

Absolutely loved my stay at The Westin Sacramento Riverfront! This hotel is incredibly beautiful, modern, stylish, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the front desk were beyond kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful — they made me feel so special and taken care of. One of my favorite little details was the variety of water stations in the lobby — such a thoughtful touch and honestly so impressive! The hotel grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The room was amazing — super cozy, comfortable, stylish, and spotless. Everything felt high-end and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and truly enjoy the stay. This was honestly my best experience in Sacramento, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable stay. I will definitely be coming back!

Very peaceful atmosphere and professional team.

From the second I started working with Imelda, I knew I needed to leave her a 5-star review. I was in town for a wedding for my fiancé's brother. We had two rooms booked for two nights. We were looking for an upgraded room for the Bride as she wanted to spend her last night with her best friend as well as bring her husband back to the room after the wedding the next day. She helped us get an upgraded room and was also able to manage to have us stay in that same room for both nights after previously thinking we would bot be able to get the room for two nights. She was also able to have champagne provided for the newlyweds when they arrived even though she was on the day shift. Lastly, the day of the wedding, I left my tie in the room after already leaving and getting to the wedding venue (I was a groomsmen). She organized with a family member to pick up my tie all before we started doing our photos at the wedding. Imelda is the biggest reason we had such a fantastic time at the Westin. She turned numerous stressful situations into positive memories for us. I am so grateful she was there the majority of the weekend to continusly help us out.

We had a very nice Mother’s Day brunch. We parked our car with the valet. The valet staff was efficient and pleasant despite being very busy. Orion brought our car to us. He was very nice. We didn’t have cash and wanted to tip. He informed us that there was an ATM onsite previously but it had been removed. We were disappointed. It seems like a simple service to offer and a mistake to not have that available onsite.

I had to bring this review down to 2 stars because they are acting like a 2 star motel. Charging for every little thing from parking ($50+) to internet ($10/day) to their automated espresso machine ($8 latte!!!!). I understand that a latte is now $8 at a local coffee shop because I am paying for artisan espresso which if you make espresso you know. But come on, charging $8 for a cold latte from an automatic machine? The front desk should have just ordered one from the restaurant and brought it to me. This just doesn't feel like I payed $600 for a hotel room. Clearly the Westin is going through hard times, I hope they pull through?

Excellent customer service! Everyone i encountered was helpful. The room is was clean. The bathroom tub is really nice. The sell bath bombs and salts at the spa. The furniture and bedding seemed a bit outdated with very tattered pillow cases, blanket, sitting chairs. Clean just tattered. That is just me being picky too. Quiet place. Hot tub and pool were nice. There is a water station to fill up water bottles in the workout room. Room service provided by Scott's Seafood. I will absolutely stay here again.

We booked a Junior suite and it was a very disappointing experience: - we were forced to valet which costed $45 and told if we parked in the marina it will be towed away (even though there is no signage that I saw that says no overnight parking). - the shower had previous guest's hair on it. - there is no free wifi. (the guest wifi asked to charge $9 to connect) - the junior suite which claimed to sleeps 4, but the couch bed did not come with sheets or pillows. I had to call room service and make my own bed. - there was no plug reachable from my phone charger from the couch bed. - my kids and I had to wait about 20min after 4pm checkin time and when asked about ETA I was told they are not sure (this is after we arrived at 3pm).

I stayed at the Westin in Sacramento, which is marketed as a 4-star hotel, but the experience didn’t match that standard at all. The pool was clearly dirty and not usable during our stay, which was disappointing. For a room at this price point (around $600), I was honestly surprised that Wi-Fi wasn’t included. Not only was there a fee, but the connection itself was unreliable and difficult to use—something I wouldn’t expect from a hotel of this caliber. We stayed in room 207, and the A/C unit was quite loud whenever it turned on, making it hard to relax or sleep comfortably. Another letdown was the lack of a breakfast buffet option. It’s not even about it being complimentary—it simply wasn’t available, which feels like a basic amenity missing for a hotel in this category. Overall, the stay didn’t reflect what I would expect from a 4-star property, and I wouldn’t recommend it—especially when there are other hotels like Sheraton in the same price range offering a better overall experience.

Best way to spend Saturday!

We had dinner reservations at the restaurant next to the hotel entrance. There in the same vicinity but to the left is the hotel, and to the right is the entrance to the restaurant. It's a very nice restaurant inside. It was our friend's 3rd or 4th time there and our first. It was very good. We definately enjoyed it. I seen parts of the hotel from the restaurant and it looked very nice from what we could see.
