I absolutely love it here. They’re LGBT+ accepting and very welcoming and kind here. I feel at home here.

This church is my ideal it is opening in a family to people who are part of the lgbtq community which I myself identify as. They also welcome people of a neurodiversity which again I identify as. Rev. Lunn has a wonderful gift for ministry and I must state honestly this is the first church that I truly felt at home in. Well I've been a visit accept gay people in the same way one accepts road noise in New York as a counterbalance to the things you like but at this church I feel cherished and loved. I've only been a few times and I plan on continuing to go. There's a fundamental decency here beyond what I found at many others and even though it obviously isn't nearly as important as lesser things the church has tremendously beautiful architecture that's making it an ideal place to worship for someone who likes community Christ and care. It is a wonderful place if I could get more than five stars I would.

Salem UCC is an ONA (Open and Affirming) church. ONA churches welcome and accept people who are LGBTQIA+. After coming out as transgender, I lost my immediate family, and was homeless. This church provided the support I needed to get my feet under me. One of the great things about this church is you don't need to love religion to attend. Atheists, agnostics, pagans, and any other viewpoints are welcome here. Also, people who did love their church families, but were cast out because they're LGBTQIA+ are welcome here. You don't have to be perfect; We aren't that kind of church. We are a bunch of messy oddballs taking care of each other. If you're trans, and looking for support, come on Sunday at 1030AM (or call the office anytime).

Highly creative pastor aligned to all forms of the arts. Down to earth sermons sharing experiences. Invites musicians to participate. Excellent talented organist who shares info on the composers. Liturgist explains context of the Bible in modern society. Weekly newsletter previews service.

Open, welcoming place. Nice facility, beautifully decorated for special Sunday celebrations.
