Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem

I haven't been to Church in year's. And I mean decades. So my daughter said let's give it a go. So we did. What a experience! It was wonderful. Nothing like my required church going when I was young. Let's just say that I will continue to go to this church and be greeted by the friendly congregation.

I haven't been to church regularly my entire life and now I attend regularly when I can. I don't view UU as a church, but as a place where like minded folks can go to exchange spiritual, social, and environmental ideas. The philosophy is a mix of Western and Eastern ideologies and Pastor Rick is stellar (funny too). They host Recovery groups such as AA and Recovery Dharma too. The latter is how I found out about the organization. I've even joined a group and a committee now. Plus, we had our wedding here...outdoors! Highly recommend that, it's a great space both indoors and out. Funny part is, when we are out and about in the community we see members at events or other organizations we belong to. The Elsinore, Meetup Groups, a book club, and a mycology group for example. Turns out a colleague at work attends too. They have a wonderful, casual gathering of members after each service that includes food and drink too, a fantastic experience. Come check it out, we'd love to see you there!

Open and welcoming! We are glad there is a place close to our home!

Best ever!

I've been involved with one Unitarian church or another since 1987. We often say that this church is for people who aren't religious, but don't be fooled. It is a church for spiritual growth. We have found so much inspiration from Reverand Rick and the whole congregation. Lately, we've become a bit more involved. I recommend the Unitarian Church of Salem.

Big church. Kind people, no pressure, and nondenominational.

Bright airy space, lots of parking.
