The Midnight Sun is a long-running gay video bar on 18th Street in the Castro, a few doors from the main Castro Street corner. Screens around the room play music videos, show clips and pop-culture compilations, and the regular viewing nights for drag and award shows are some of its busiest. It's a social bar rather than a cruising one, and the crowd is mostly gay men across a wide age range. It opens at 15:00 on weekdays and from noon at weekends, closing at 02:00 every night; happy hour brings in the locals and it fills up later. Prices are among the lowest in the neighbourhood.

It was 2016 I guess. I went there around 5 pm to have a drink. I was alone. I had one cocktail of vodka and started feeling very odd. I left the place tried to call an uber but I was feeling dizzy, barely can see my phone, I did lean back to a tree not to fall down on the ground. I was lucky to call an uber and got home. I am sure that the bartender put Ghb in my drink. Stupid of me didn’t report it back then. Guys be aware of this diabolical place.
