關於此地 Baker Beach

Baker Beach delivers an unfiltered view of the Golden Gate, with a clothing‑optional stretch that attracts a varied crowd. The beach sits on the Presidio’s western edge and looks straight at the bridge. It’s a municipal beach, not a gay‑only spot, but the northernmost section—right by the towers—is where nudists and gay men have gathered for decades. The water is brisk and the currents are strong, so most people stick to the sand. Fog rolls in by mid‑afternoon even in July, making September and October the most reliable months for sunshine. A small lot off Gibson Road handles most cars, and the 29 Muni bus drops you a block away. Nudity is only tolerated in the north; elsewhere you’ll need a shirt and shorts, and you’ll find families and photographers sharing the same stretch of sand.

The water is cold and polluted, not recommended for swimming. The bathroom is gross. The view on the deck is sublime.

We did a great walk through Golden Gate Park and along the Lands End Trail ending at Baker Beach, gorgeous view along the way but some of the best of GGB at the end from Baker Beach.

Baker Beach offers one of the most iconic engagement settings in San Francisco, with sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and unforgettable sunsets over the Pacific. The combination of open shoreline, soft natural light, and dramatic scenery creates a timeless, elevated backdrop for any special moment.

Sandy Beach at The Presidio of San Francisco offering beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin Headlands and the Pacific Ocean. It was not busy on the Saturday afternoon in early June that we visited. However, although it was sunny, it was also cool and windy. I suspect it would get much busier on warmer days. We hiked here along the excellent Batteries to Bluffs Trail that branched off the California Coastal Trail that began at the Golden Gate Welcome Center. However, there is a moderate sized parking lot if you wish to drive here. Another option is to catch the #29 bus that stops near the beach. A more secluded beach is Marshall Beach which is just north of here although it requires some effort to reach.

Baker Beach offers one of the most incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge anywhere in the city. It’s a perfect spot for photos, sunset watching, or simply enjoying the ocean.

If you want amazing engagement or family photos with the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop, look no further - Baker Beach has it all. Just be careful of sneaker waves. They are powerful and can sweep you off of your feet if you aren't ready. Water is cold but the views are fantastic. Easy parking and a public restroom is available. It's a dog friendly and clothing "optional" beach.

Baker Beach is one of those spots that feels like a local secret but delivers big on scenery. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge are unbeatable, especially at sunset, and the beach itself is clean, spacious, and perfect for a laid-back stroll or picnic. It’s not ideal for swimming due to strong currents, but it’s great for relaxing, snapping photos, or just soaking in the ocean breeze. Parking is free but fills up fast on sunny weekends, and there are restrooms and picnic tables nearby. The northern end is clothing-optional, so heads-up if you’re visiting with family. Overall, it’s a peaceful escape with postcard-worthy views.

We got a Waymo from Fisherman's Wharf and walked the length of the beach towards the Bridge. The sand was lovely and fluffy and very hot underfoot but the freezing waters of the Pacific sorted that out! The beach wasn't too crowded and we sat watching the insanely high waves crash in to shore. The views of the Bridge were incredible and we had a lovely afternoon there. We then walked up the sand ladder and took the Coastal Trail to the Golden Gate Overlook and the welcome centre which were both worth it. I'd highly recommend a visit!

Access via Sea Cliff Avenue and its beautiful houses leads us to a staircase going down to the beach. Wastewater exit is not great but the view of the Golden gate bridge is superb

Actually the most beautiful and all-around most enjoyable beach in San Francisco proper! If you, you and your friends, you and your family want a fun day at the beach that is generally never as windy and brisk as Ocean Beach, this is your beach. Yes there is a nude area. If that’s not your style, don’t wander toward the bridge. You’ll love it here.

If you want that perfect, iconic postcard shot of the Golden Gate Bridge, skip the crowded standard overlooks and come straight to Baker Beach. The contrast of the crashing waves, the dark sand, and the massive orange bridge framed by the Marin Headlands is completely unmatched. We went right around golden hour, and watching the sunset light up the bridge cables was unforgettable. It does get windy and chilly, so bring layers, and be aware that parking can fill up fast on nice days. An absolute must-visit when you're in San Francisco!

It's a bubble spot. It only attracts people for photos. The photo areas, specifically the far right end of the beach, are occupied by naked men :) Watch out for the naked people on the beach :) If you're coming with your family, I recommend spending time on the left side of the beach and not getting too close to the right.

We went at sunset on a sunny day. Excellent view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Trendy atmosphere with music. There are no kiosks or beach bars. Just a couple of vendors with umbrellas selling drinks and snacks.

Very nice ! The views are amazing! Parking is sparse so go early or pray for some one to leave as you pull up.
