Hands-on Randall museum with animals, kids loved it. Phantastic view makes up for the steep climb.
Corona Park is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The park is clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of open green space for walking, exercising, or simply unwinding. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings make it a great spot for families, friends, or anyone looking to spend some time outside. It’s clear that the park is well cared for, and every visit is enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pleasant and refreshing place to spend some time!
Great view of the bridge
Beautiful sight and nice small hike.
Great views from this park . Enjoyed playing pickle ball.
My experience after my first visit San Francisco roughly day 180. It be- came my most favorite. Breathtaking. If I recall it can get steep I suggest staying on path up Metaphorically I felt like I could hug God
Great place to reflect on life with an awesome view of the city. Can be windy so, as always, wear layers.
Beautiful rocky crag sticking out of a bustling City. Great views and pretty easy to park
Easy hike with steps going up the trail. Relatively short hike with panoramic views of the city, including the downtown San Francisco skyline. Some free parking is available on the street in the neighborhood. (Remember to read the street cleaning signs so you don't get a ticket.) There's a dog park on the side as you enter the hiking trail so be aware, in case you're allergic to or scared of dogs (or if there's dog poop near or on the trail). Dogs must stay on leash, except in the dog park area.
. Quiet compared to other SF parks despite being accessible. Rock formations add visual interest. Clear days show the bay and beyond.
Definitely worth the climb up to the summit. Try to get there before sunset so as to enjoy the golden hour over the San Francisco skyline.
Go early for sunrise! Quick hike up, and very few people there. Great place to enjoy the quiet awakening of the city.
Amazing views, gives you a unique outlook of the entire city and the bay. I don’t come here as much as I should.
The road to Corona Hightail Park is quite steep, but the stunning panoramic view of the city makes the climb worthwhile. The park offers a variety of trails catering to different fitness levels, so there’s something for everyone. Keep in mind that it gets pretty windy at the top—bringing a cap or tying your hair back can help keep things manageable. The park has multiple entrances, some less steep than others. For instance, the entrance on Museum Way includes a dog-friendly play area but involves a steeper ascent to the hilltop. Whether you’re looking for a challenging hike or a casual stroll, this park delivers breathtaking scenery and a rewarding outdoor experience.
Drove into SF late on Friday night and decided to check the views of the city. Parking is no problem nearby, but walking into the park it’s VERY dark, like pitch black. Best to go with at least someone else just to be safe. City views are nice.
This little park in the middle of a classy residential area is not on the tourist map, but you can get exceptional views of downtown and the Bay from here. A bit hard to get to.
I can easily see bad accidents happening here with overly enthusiastic folks thinking it isn’t a difficult climb. It definitely gets a little treacherous near the peak as one slip could send you down the whole slope with plenty of rocks to hit on the way. Despite the fun, I advise ensuring your kids are responsible explorers. That said, what a view. It’s unbeatable. If you can, make this trip. No more than half an hour total. Prepare for wind!!
Corona Heights Park offers some of the city’s best views from its craggy peak. The base of the hill is at approximately 300 feet (91 m). Best Place to see a sunrise and sunset in San Francisco!! Please use the following address for parking: 2480 15th St. San Francisco CA 94114. Hiking up to the top from the side entrance near the tennis courts will take 10-15 minutes.
Despite the 90+ stair steps to get to the top, it was all worth it! Went there yesterday with friends to take pictures of the amazing views of the City. A hidden gem indeed!
From up there you have a nice view upon the city. Getting there is an easy task even if one goes by public transport. The little "hike" up to the top is sometimes a bit steep but no problem at all. The lookout is not crowded with other people, so one can take his/her time to take pictures.
Corona Heights Summit is my new favorite place in San Francisco. It's better than Twin Peaks, because you can see Twin Peaks from Corona Heights. The park makes for a fantastic little hike in the heart of San Francisco. It's Steep and some of the terrain is just a little rugged. But when you get to the top the view is fantastic. And then there's the geology. If you're interested in geology, you will love this park. Bedded chert everywhere. And off of 15th and beaver you'll find the most amazing slickenside side anywhere. If you don't know what it's look inside is, look it up on Google.
Hidden gem. Go here to get a nice view of the city. Moderate 0.3ish mile hike. Couple of benches and rocks to sit and enjoy the view. Best part is that not many people visit this place so never crowded like other tourist points.
This place has beautiful sweeping views of SF, and is much less crowded than the more popular Twin Peaks. Its up a hill, so you need to walk up a hill for just a couple minutes to get there, but its well worth it for the view.
