The Sandman Santa Rosa Sonoma

Started off well, then on Saturday at 2:30, they started power washing on the second floor in front of our room. Who power washes on Saturday when you are fully booked? Asked them if they could come back later after our kids woke up from their nap. Told me no. Front desk doesn’t answer the phone. No signage anywhere saying they would be doing maintenance. For a Saturday daily rate in the $200’s , who has a motor running and power washing outside your window, wouldn’t come back.

Not sure you should call this a four star resort, but clean and smells fresh. Has a pool, jacuzzi, yoga area and outdoor fire pit, is dog friendly, it is not the 4 Seasons. But Including free breakfast, it’s a steal for $120 on travago. No problems, desk was courteous and kind. Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay here again! Trader Joe’s is around the corner.

This Sandman is a 3 for me, the rooms really need to be updated. On the positive side the staff was nice, and so were the few other guests I spoke with.

Favorite stay in Santa Rosa!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was convenient and the rooms were cute and clean. The pool and hot tub were wonderful.

Nice little motel with a slight retro vibe. Room with kitchenette was great- with a hot water pot! Pool area was nice and large, with extra outdoor space for our group to meet. Close to shops and restaurants.

This place was such a wonderful surprise! We were just passing through on a drive south and I wasn’t expecting such a nice place. The room was so cute and comfortable, great place for our little dog to stay, and the pool looked fantastic. We only stayed here one night but I would absolutely stay again and would like to stay longer to enjoy the pool next time. Staff was also so friendly and helpful. Just all in all a great place.

Stephanie in the front desk is awesome, after 4 months of staying here I’d recommend coming back.

Positive: Clean, comfortable room; pleasant competent staff, ok breakfast. Great having frig & microwave. Negative: Tried to make coffee in the room. Really need instructions for coffee maker. I got slightly brown water no matter what I did. My biggest complaint is the security deposit. You may think it’s not a big deal because it comes back off of my car, but it is the highest security deposit I have ever paid for any place I’ve ever stayed Hampton Inn is $100. Holiday Inn is $100. Flamingo only charges $50. I find it insulting

Don’t get the hate on this place, me and the lady stayed here three nights, free breakfast, nice spa , pool and rooms were fairly modernized and clean. Not to mention you can’t beat the price right in wine country.
