We came to eat as a party of nine, and it was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten in my life. I had the lamb entree which was perfectly seasoned and prepared. One of the signs of a fantastic restaurant is how they prepare the “small things” - the bread appetizers were incredible. The eggplant spread that came with an appetizer was one of the most fresh dipping sauces I have ever eaten. The hospitality and service were top-notch as well, which adds to an amazing dining experience. We will be back!

Such good food, amazing service. Chef came out to greet us after meal. 10/10, server was very nice. I got the lamb, which was amazing. Tirimasu was also incredible.

Chanta Authentic European Cuisine is truly one of Tampa’s hidden gems! My wife, our kids, and I absolutely love this family-owned restaurant, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. What makes Chanta so special isn’t just the incredible European food, but the genuine love and hospitality this family puts into everything they do. Every single time we visit, we’re treated with kindness, warmth, and respect. We never feel like just another customer. We genuinely feel like family, and that’s something you just can’t put a price on. The restaurant is always exceptionally clean, the ingredients taste incredibly fresh, and every dish is prepared with noticeable care and attention to detail. The quality and consistency are outstanding! As for the food, you absolutely cannot go wrong with the lamb or schnitzel! For appetizers, we love the burrata, meatballs and stuffed mushrooms!They’re absolutely incredible and worth coming back for! My wife’s personal favorite though is the Soccotini Vanessa, an elegant rich pasta dish that’s easily one of my favorites anywhere. Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a special occasion, or a family dinner in Tampa, Chanta is a must-visit. I highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially for weekends. The Chanta family has created something truly special here. Amazing food, family filled love, beautiful ambiance, wonderful service, and the kind of genuine family recipes and hospitality that’s increasingly hard to find in a city that all starts with their very own Grandma in the kitchen:) Five stars, every single time. We’re grateful to have Chanta in Tampa and will continue recommending it to everyone we know!

Fantastic food and wait staff!

I went with my wife and four friends and didn't really know what to expect. I was told that it was nice and to wear something nice. Apparently, their reservations page on OpenTable says "Business Casual." No problem for me, but you can ignore that. People were in everything from full-length dresses and coats to shorts and a t-shirt. That said, the host was wearing black "chef pants" and a white t-shirt along with the filthiest white shoes I've ever seen, and the waitress was wearing jeans and some kind of tight, long sleeve swimsuit/yoga top. So, yeah, don't dress up unless you just feel like it. Overall, service was average/good, though. The food? The two of us got the meat platter for two, which was just meat and a bunch of fries. The fries were really good, but the meat was just good. Not great, and wasn't that much of it (the whole meal fit on a not-very-big plank. Yet, it was $62 plus tax and 20% tip ($79 total), with the tip being automatically added on for us, for a party of 6? Would I go back or recommend it to friends? No. There are many better options in Tampa.

This place is family owned, very cozy, and so delicious. Menu is huge and everything was so good including the service!

We came for dinner on a date night, well deserved one after not being able to have one for some months. We had to wait over 35 min to get seated past our reservation time, after standing around in the tiny foyer, the handful seats at the bar emptied so we could sit and wait. We were given a flatbread which we never ordered but assumed that it was because they kept us waiting so long, the flatbread was not good at all. Once we got seated, the service is slow but they were nice. The mains are small for the prices they charge and didn't taste good at all which seemed to be a running theme. While using good quality ingredients is admirable, the taste shouldn't be off. We chose not to get desserts and when the bill came- they had included the flatbread we never ordered! That alone is enough of a turn off, it ruined our night we were both looking forward to, it was such a bad beginning that i would never recommend this place to anyone. You cannot nickle and dime ppl when customer service is an integral part of the experience.

A really wonderful restaurant with Italian and Romanian cuisine that is authentically made to order with simple, fresh imported ingredients from Italy. Family owned and the Nana Chanta, the grandmother, has always been the one making it the dishes herself. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and designed and the food is so fresh and delicious and the service is excellent with very reasonable prices.

My fiance, and our friends had the absolute best dinner experience here! Our friends said it was there favorite place and now we know why. The waitstaff, ambiance, food, and customer service were 10/10! This restaurant is truly a tampa gem. We talked to the server ( the owners daughter) and we found out they process their own meat, grow their own herbs and spices and that their grandmother cooks in the kitchen every day and night. The family story behind this place just makes it 5 times better. The grandmother actually came out to meet us and she was so sweet. They really listened to my allergies and even gave us a on the house dessert that catered to my allergies!
