Golden Tulip Diplomate Cotonou

Golden Tulip Le Diplomate is a mainstream business hotel on Boulevard de la Marina in Cotonou, close to the waterfront and the government and embassy area. It is part of the Golden Tulip brand. It is not a gay venue and has no particular LGBTQ+ profile. Google reviewers rate it 4.4 from more than 2,700 reviews, and the location comes up often as a plus. Same-sex relationships are not criminalized in Benin, but there is little open gay life and social attitudes are conservative. International-brand hotels like this are usually discreet and professional, and normal discretion in public areas is sensible.
