There are much better places in port Douglas . The setting at the marina is nice but the food is very mediocre especially for the price and the service is very sub par. We went on a night that wasn’t very busy and still waited almost an hour for what was very underwhelming food, the bar staff appeared bored and disinterested , I had to tell one my order 3 times before she woke up and figured out what I wanted. If your after basic pub food there are other options in the Main Street that are far far better.

Best pizza in town!!!

No complaints whatsoever. Service was super friendly, food was quick to arrive and tasty. A little loud, but that’s ok. Views cracking!

Pizza was oil city. Burger was good.

Delicious meal

We ate at Hemingway’s last night having made an early booking some days in advance. My family is hosting a newly arrived French exchange student and, having just arrived in Port Douglas, we were wanting to have an early dinner, show her the beautiful marina and introduce her to “pub food“ in Australia. We ordered nachos, salt and pepper squid, a cheeseburger and (beer snack) chicken nuggets. The food did not arrive until we had chased it up twice, with a wait time of 55 mins in total. By that stage, the restaurant was about three quarters empty so the reason for the excessive wait was not evident. I have never eaten a worse meal in Port Douglas. The beef nachos was inedible. The “shredded beef” was tough, lacking in any spices or sauce and served in thick grey strips thrown on top of a handful of corn chips. There was almost no avocado (approximately 1 teaspoon full), barely any salsa (a spoonful of chopped tomato at most), and there did not appear to be any cheese. There was no sauce (or seasoning or cheese) through the mound of grey meat and no sour cream on the plate. There were about 10 corn chips in total, half of which had been burnt until black and unable to be eaten. My daughter was also unable to eat even one of the repulsive “adult-friendly chicken nuggets” that she ordered. They were coated in a dense rough crust about 1 cm thick. The thin layer of white meat (?) inside was so dried out it could actually not be chewed. We asked for some tomato ketchup, however we were informed by the kitchen that they had run out of tomato ketchup last night. The other two meals were also horrendous. The salt and pepper squid was the worst I have ever been served. This eating establishment gave our visiting guest an absolutely terrible first impression of Australian food and service. We deeply regret choosing this place for dinner.

Beers were fine, food was ok but not that great given the high price. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Bigger portions and maybe fries with Burger ($26..) would go a long way...

Came here 2 nights in a row. Ordered the same chicken burger and same meat lovers pizza. Night 1 they were 9/10. Really good. Hence we came back again next night and ordered the same. Disappointed the second night. Chicken burger was just a 5/10. Too much lettuce, and they forgot the cheese. It also wasn't quite the same. The meat lovers was definitely different too. Had ham on night 2 which was not there night 1. It was still pretty good but only maybe 7.5/10. Wait times are long, and you have to get your own food, and cutlery etc. there is no table service. Also ordered nachos on night 1, the exposed chips were burned. Otherwise good. And the loaded fries on night 2 were pretty good. Tried all their tap beers and really didn't like any of them. All too Hoppy. The only ones I really wanted to try, the stout, they don't even make any more.

Great value for money. Half priced kids meals when you spend over $40. Fun juke box
